European Draft Details

This evening, details were released about the long awaited draft for Europe and the United Kingdom for the Championship Gaming Series second season. The way in which the draft happens this season has changed as players found out at the start of the year, where the General Manager has to choose one player from the previous season to become the Franchise player, he or she then is able to protect up to another 4 players in their team. The other players are then put back into the draft, where the General Manager can repick them or pick up new players.

The Qualifier and Draft this season will be held once again at the Omega Sektor in the heart of Birmingham, England from the 16th to the 19th of May. For those who don't know the Omega Sektor is one of the biggest lan centers in Europe with it having more than 400 computers, and over 100 consoles. The schedule for the Region 3 teams has changed this season though, as the General Managers will draft their teams from the event, but then will be flown out to Los Angeles for the European Finals in June. The winner of this will be then join the winner of the UK finals, in the World Final event which is to be held during July.
