Magnetik vs. Allianz Preview
Tomorrow the deciding match between Stockholm Magnetik and Berlin Allianz will kick off at the Television Studios in Los Angeles, where one team will get the chance to play in the World Finals, while the other team will be going home. In the run up to this, the staff of Stockholm Magnetik decided to write a preview on how we feel the match will go. Please note this is based purely on our opinions and does not reflect anyone in the team.
Last Season many may remember the European Finals that were held at the Omega Sektor straight after the Draft in September. After a very close game, the Berlin Allianz managed to snatch the win away from Stockholm Magnetik with the score of 30-28, with Counter-Strike: Source being the deciding game. But this year things have changed, with the European Finals now being held in the Television Studios in Los Angeles. This is a huge bonus for those who are new to the Championship Gaming Series as they will be able to get the experience infront the cameras, and audiences before the World Finals start.
At the Season 1 World Finals things didn't exactly go to plan for the General Manager; Emil Christensen and his franchise the Stockholm Magnetiks as they broke records against Chicago Chimera, but not in a positive way. Emil has said since the World Finals that this will not happen again as he shown at the draft, changing half of the team from the first season, introducing new faces to the Championship Gaming Series.
So without further ado lets kick off these predictions! With in my opinion, an battle between two players who need no introductions in this franchise match.
In my opinion this match will be one to remember as Niklas "
SkatanMilla" Lagerborg will go up against Rudolf "
The_Tactical" Fischer. Both players have shown in events such as the World Cyber Games and Samsung European Championships that they are both forces to be reckoned with. At the Combine in May,
SkatanMilla fell at an early stage against the French player Aissani "
Neji" Méziane, who was apart of the Stockholm Magnetik franchise in Season 1, Neji also eliminated The_Tactical.
Though in a set challenge match, SkatanMilla was able to take down The_Tactical on a large scale. To make sure Niklas gives his best performance tomorrow he has been playing almost non stop since May, and has bootcamped many times with numerous skilled players. At the Combine, The_Tactical looked alittle out of shape, and even made the mistake of pressing pause during the match.
With this being said, I think it will be quite a close game but SkatanMilla will come out on top.

SkatanMilla 5:2 The_Tactical
Both players were saved at this Seasons draft with them being the only two competitors at the combine, though Sophie "
Miss" Brenton received the protection card, as Emil Christensen did not want to lose the French talent who has quite a dominance over the European Scene. At the combine, Livia "
Liefje" Teernstra was knocked out in the first round by one of the newest additions to the UK franchises;
SarahLou (Birmingham Salvo) with the score of 5:3.
While Sophie "
Miss" Brenton made it through to the Semi Finals of the combine, where she was eliminated by SarahLous sister, Strobe (London Mint). But as Sophie recently admitted, she felt that using Anaya at the combine was a mistake for her, and that she felt she should of stuck to using Lisa, whom she had been using since October 2006. Since the draft, both players have been practicing really hard but then sadness struck Sophies life as her father sadly passed away last week.
Naturally, it takes time for anyone to over come a loss, but Sophie has said that she will do the best she can in order to make her father proud, and we believe in her. With this, I think Sophie will give everything she has to make sure she performs to the best of her ability.

Miss 5:1 Liefje
On paper this match could be said to be a piece of cake for the Danish FIFA player; Jonas "
IstvaN" Salomonsen who managed to take the combine by storm and take the 1st place. IstvaN will go the full 90 minutes (in game terms!) against the protected Ukrainian; Rostyslav "
Manyna" Nedoviz. At this Seasons combine, this match took place in the first round as IstvaN managed to eliminate Manyna with a score of 1-0, but I think this time around there will be a few more goals scored on the pitch.
With both players wanting to keep their tactics a secret from each other, Jonas sacrificed his place in the Clanbase Eurocup this week as he was meant to play against Manyna's twin brother and former Stockholm Magnetik player; Volodymyr "
Chud1k" Nedoviz.

IstvaN 4:2 Manya
Forza is from my opinion quite difficult to judge from looking at which players will come first on that podium. With each player having their own play styles or tactic it only takes 1 wrong move (or somethings right move) to finish a racers game as they collide off the track and lose valuable time, which is extremely difficult to get back. At the combine the four players who are now apart of the European Franchises all shown extreme talent in their races, with them having that little something that could make or break their race.
All four of them are arguably fast, and I think personally it will determine on the start of the race, which will set the pace for the rest of the track. Tomas "
MadneSS" Thorsell and his new team mate; Fabien "
BrYce" Clement recently done a weeks bootcamp in order to touch up on their communication and tactics for this match. Though thats not saying that Erno "
FinPro" kuronen and Philippe "
YggdrasiL" Vaillant have not been making plans of their own.
I think this will be difficult to make predictions on, but I think that the two French racers being BrYce and YggdrasiL will come up 1st and 2nd with MadneSS and FinPro coming in 3rd and 4th. But as stated before, this could as change from the start of the race.
At the draft both teams went through some dramatic changes, losing close friends and seeing how easy it would be for them to build up new chemistry's with players that some of them have not played with before in a proper team. Which is why I think this is the most difficult game to give a prediction on.
Both teams have not been on public show since the Combine, and according to facts given they have not played against each other in practice. This match could go either way, Berlin have had a major task to over come with them having the addition of two Dutch players to join their remaining Swedish players. Both Counter-Strike: Source teams have been bootcamping coming upto the European Finals, with Stockholm Magnetik being at the Inferno Online Gaming Cafe in Stockholm Sweden. And the Berlin Allianz having two bootcamps, the first being in Holland with the two dutch players then in Sweden where they all played together in a school.
This match could go either way!
Stockholm Magnetik 7:11 Berlin Allianz
