With the team being in Los Angeles for just a few days we are happy to release our first gallery from their experience over there. The gallery has over 140 pictures of the team in from when they left Sweden upto being in the studio last night where they played against Berlin Allianz. Giftig steps in

For many weeks speculation and rumors have been going around the Counter-Strike: Source community about the Stockholm Magnetik Counter-Strike: Source team with many people claiming that there had been a roster change. Last night, this was confirmed as Sondre “REAL” Svanevik was replaced by a member of the Taxi team; Daniel “GIFTIG” Ivarsson. Daniel had been playing with the rest of the Stockholm Magnetik players for some time before the Combine, and attend the event together where they were eliminted in the Second Round of the event by the Dutch team; Fnatic.

Last night the team managed to take down the Berlin Allianz's Counter-Strike: Source team with a score of 10-08, which is quite impressive. Though tonight they have an even bigger challenge as they face London Mint on the not so much played map; de_tuscan. Please join us in welcoming Daniel to the team!



 

Magnetik vs Allianz

Season 2

Tonight the two teams from central European being; Stockholm Magnetik and the Berlin Allianz will battle it out for a place in the European Final where they will earn their place a spot in the World Finals, along with playing the winning team from the two UK teams, in order to get a seeding for the event.

This match will be sure a challenge for both teams with Emil Christensen wanting to get revenge for his close loss last Season where the Berlin Allianz won 30-28. But for bsl, he has his pride to keep, with him wanting to retain the title of European Champions. The match is set to start at 7:30PM EST (1.30AM CET). Magnetik vs. Allianz Preview

Season 2

Tomorrow the deciding match between Stockholm Magnetik and Berlin Allianz will kick off at the Television Studios in Los Angeles, where one team will get the chance to play in the World Finals, while the other team will be going home. In the run up to this, the staff of Stockholm Magnetik decided to write a preview on how we feel the match will go. Please note this is based purely on our opinions and does not reflect anyone in the team.

Last Season many may remember the European Finals that were held at the Omega Sektor straight after the Draft in September. After a very close game, the Berlin Allianz managed to snatch the win away from Stockholm Magnetik with the score of 30-28, with Counter-Strike: Source being the deciding game. But this year things have changed, with the European Finals now being held in the Television Studios in Los Angeles. This is a huge bonus for those who are new to the Championship Gaming Series as they will be able to get the experience infront the cameras, and audiences before the World Finals start.

At the Season 1 World Finals things didn't exactly go to plan for the General Manager; Emil Christensen and his franchise the Stockholm Magnetiks as they broke records against Chicago Chimera, but not in a positive way. Emil has said since the World Finals that this will not happen again as he shown at the draft, changing half of the team from the first season, introducing new faces to the Championship Gaming Series.

So without further ado lets kick off these predictions!

Stockholm invades Los Angeles

Season 2

Yesterday the Stockholm Magnetik team left their homes to take the 14 hour flight across the World where they would play there part in history, to try become the Season 2 World Finals Winners. Bringing back home to Europe with an incredible amount of money, along with the World Final trophy. Though, for now there is one thing blocking their path before the World Finals start next month, being the Berlin Allianz lead by the Norwegian Viking; Jonas "bsl" Alsaker Vikan.

This coming Friday, the 27th of June 2008 these two teams will go against each other from the Television Studios in Los Angeles in order to be crowned the European Champions, and a chance to represent one of two teams from Region 3. The Stockholm Magnetik site will of course bring you full coverage from the event, along with some pre-coverage items, so stay tuned. Please join us in wishing Emil and the team the very best of luck this coming Friday!
